Whitlaw Mariners Seniors Club

The Whitlaw Mariners Seniors Club was established in 1987, as a card playing group of members from the Peterborough Naval Association. Other activities such as Darts and Shuffleboard were eventually added and a Seniors Club then evolved to promote healthy and weekly activities for seniors.

For twenty years they rented space at the Navy Club. In 2007 the Whitlaw Mariners felt that it was appropriate to find a new home for their Club in order to expand both their activities and membership.

A decision to search out other facilities was made and the result was a joint venture with the Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club to build the McDonnel St. Activity Centre.
